Dear Lovers of All Things Pie and Fruitiful,
We have a fresh Post ready and waiting. Four full-color pages of downloadable fun.
We made a trip up to Pittsburgh this month, so expect to hear some tales from our time with family. As always, we’ve got some great and simple recipe and kitchen recommendations, along with the always popular stream of consciousness narration of Davis (age 4).
If you are enjoying the Hutch Post, consider subscribing! You can read about our subscription levels—all of which come with delicious benefits.
One of the best ways you can support us is forwarding these emails to friends and family. If you are a regular at the Hutch, share our bakes with them!
Until next time . . .
All’s well and quick march!

Wait! Don't throw out those pie crust trimmings. I haven't read Tolstoy, but I know something of Russian culture from my Russian grandparents. My grandmother used to roll out the leftover crust, cut it into strips, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake. Khrustiki is what she called it, which translates to Russian cookie, I believe. Delicious! You might even make extra crust just to enjoy this crumbly treat.
I love your posts, by the way! I know we're no longer on your way to vacation in Maine, but no need to be strangers. We'd love to have you come visit any time.
Love, Michele
